About Mothercraft for Babies

Our approach.

When we come to your home, we will work in partnership with you to achieve your specific parenting goals. Our highly trained and experienced Nurses will be respectful of your comfort levels and show you evidenced based and responsive strategies to help you and your baby or toddler get back on track. They are experienced and compassionate “coaches” so you will feel better skilled, more confident and reassured in your ability to implement the changes and move forward.

Your home consultation package includes several days follow up by your Nurse who will also complete your baby or toddler’s personalised Mothercraft for Babies Care Plan for easy reference post consultation.

Our Head Coach

Beth Barclay is a qualified and registered Mothercraft nurse with a career in the Services industry for the past 30 years. Beth is the Founder and Director of Mothercraft for Babies Pty Ltd. which was established in 2010.

After completing her training at Tresillian Family Care Centre Willoughby in 1977 she joined the nursing team at the highly regarded Crown Street Women’s Hospital in Sydney. More recently she has been coaching parents as a private nursing/parenting consultant for the past 10 years.

Beth is also a registered Volunteer with the Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick and works closely with a large network of Paediatric and specialist Maternal Health Professionals across Sydney.

Our referral network of Paediatricians, Obstetricians, GP’s or other Early Childhood and Maternal health professionals work in partnership with Mothercraft for Babies by referring their patients in need of our specialist post natal nursing skills and follow up support.

Our Nurses

Beth’s love of helping new parents become skilled and confident has been the driving force behind building this “mobile” team of Tresillian and Karitane trained Mothercraft nursing specialists.

All the Nurses are qualified and registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) so they must meet all registration requirements and current professional standards of best practice. They are suitably insured, thoroughly reference checked and carefully recruited to represent the values and beliefs behind Mothercraft for Babies philosophy.

This team of professionals is passionate about giving Mums and Dads the “hands on” support and guidance needed to face the everyday challenges of parenting.

Beth was nominated in the HESTA Australian Nursing Awards for the Nurse of the Year Award 2013
